Sometimes I find that I'm beating myself up because I haven't been to the gym. But resting is important for the recovery of your muscles after a workout.
This is another recipe using Quorn mince in place of beef mince. Cottage pie is a particular favourite of mine, especially in these cold winter months. It makes me feel warm and cosy and reminds me of days gone by where my Dad would slave away in the kitchen making it. Now it’s down to me to do the cooking, so I thought I would share the recipe. Enjoy!
It's a common misconception that in order to get enough protein in your diet, meat is the only way. So I've created a short list of plant-based proteins and their protein contents for those of you who are vegetarian, vegan or if you're simply thinking about changing your eating habits.
I love a good spag bol (and I know I’m not the only one!) but we all know that you can’t possibly have a great tasting spag bol without the added sugars, salts and fats. Or can we? This is my favourite recipe for a Bolognese, with Quorn mince in place of beef mince. Quorn is high in protein, tastes great and is low in saturated fats so I use it wherever I can.
It's a tale as old as time, skipping meals will help you to lose weight. It makes sense right? You eat less, therefore the fat and calorie content going into your body is lower. It only makes sense that you'd lose weight almost instantly. Many people believe this myth, so here are a few reasons it's exactly that. A myth.
All too often we use scales as a way to determine how overweight, underweight, fat or unhealthy we are. And I hate it. So here are a few thoughts on why you should fight the scales, stop weighing yourself so frequently and measure yourself instead.
In recent months I've fallen in love with working my arms. Leg day is and always has been my favourite, but nowadays arms is a close second. I'm noticing a lot more progress with my arms which is definitely pushing me to keep it up and see what else I can do! Have a read through, give this workout a try and let me know how you get on!
I struggle to workout to the music played in the gym, I much prefer listening to playlists that I've put together. So I wanted to share a playlist with you in the hope that it'll be the same for you.
As it's now the end of June, believe it or not! Wasn't Christmas last week?! I wanted to summarise how this month has gone for me. So here they are, my favourite music, netflix shows, book, workouts, food and my body progress alongside my goals for July.
Carbonara is my favourite go-to ‘cheat meal’ – this is the only time I’ll call it a cheat meal. It’s not cheating if it fits your macros! It’s simple to make, but the sauce traditionally contains a lot of cheese. So I thought I’d share with you my favourite recipe minus (most) of the cheese. The great thing about this recipe is that it also contains a good amount of protein!
