It's been a while since I've posted a recipe and Thai Green Curry is one of my favourites. I haven't had it since I was young and so I thought I'd put my own twist on it. As some of you may have noticed, I cook with a lot of Quorn. I don't actually remember the last time I cooked with meat and the only time I eat meat is when I buy food on the go. I thought I'd challenge myself to becoming a vegetarian to see if I could actually do it and to see if there is any change in my workout progress. So vegetarian or not, give this curry a go and let me know what you think!
This is another recipe using Quorn mince in place of beef mince. Cottage pie is a particular favourite of mine, especially in these cold winter months. It makes me feel warm and cosy and reminds me of days gone by where my Dad would slave away in the kitchen making it. Now it’s down to me to do the cooking, so I thought I would share the recipe. Enjoy!
It's a common misconception that in order to get enough protein in your diet, meat is the only way. So I've created a short list of plant-based proteins and their protein contents for those of you who are vegetarian, vegan or if you're simply thinking about changing your eating habits.
I love a good spag bol (and I know I’m not the only one!) but we all know that you can’t possibly have a great tasting spag bol without the added sugars, salts and fats. Or can we? This is my favourite recipe for a Bolognese, with Quorn mince in place of beef mince. Quorn is high in protein, tastes great and is low in saturated fats so I use it wherever I can.
Carbonara is my favourite go-to ‘cheat meal’ – this is the only time I’ll call it a cheat meal. It’s not cheating if it fits your macros! It’s simple to make, but the sauce traditionally contains a lot of cheese. So I thought I’d share with you my favourite recipe minus (most) of the cheese. The great thing about this recipe is that it also contains a good amount of protein!
I love eggs. I eat them whenever and wherever I can, they're the main reason I can't/won't become a vegan. They're just too good! So here is my recipe for the perfect mushroom and spinach scrambled eggs.
I am always thinking about food. Even as I type this, I’m thinking about the fish I’ve put in the oven for my tea, along with the cottage pie I’m cooking tomorrow. So I thought I would share with you one of my favourite post-workout snacks.
Anyone who works in an office knows the struggles of maintaining a healthy and balanced diet. I’m probably one of the worst people for taking time out to eat lunch and have a break, there’s just never enough time in the day. Without all of the cakes that seem to appear at my office – there must be at least one birthday every week! So here are 7 tips to stay healthy whilst in the office.
